"So...how are they working?"
"Like you said. I think a little better than before."
"Good. That's good."
"...How's the cleanup going? In the city?"
"...Well, I suppose."
"You suppose?"
"Don't exactly know for sure, to be honest with you."
"...Don't exactly know?"
"Well, you know...crisis is over...I...you know...sort of..."
"...Sort of time to move on as soon as the companion is fit to travel?"
"Well, it wouldn't be very nice to leave you behind."
"And the ten billion other people on this planet can shift for themselves?"
"What about them?"
"You're just going to let them shift for themselves?"
"...Demyx, what do you want me to do? Do you want

All right; thankfully, the area around the TARDIS was pretty abandoned (for now). That gave Demyx a little time to get his head on straight and try to get his bearings without having to defend himself just yet. Of course, he had no idea where the hospital was from here, or even which direction - he'd been next best to dead when they left, and not in much shape to pay attention to anything. Of course, the headset was supposed to have this heads-up map display...
Almost as soon as he touched the earpiece to bring up the map, words appeared on the lenses. Clearly, the Doctor was less than happy with him. Demyx, did you simply forget EVERYTHING I
Waves churn white on the ocean tonight
And there’s no one to be seen.
A fortress of isolation -
Am I a prisoner or a king?
The surf keeps pounding
Like this perfect storm inside -
Couldn’t keep it in.
Wouldn’t know I tried.
That’s all I hear, that’s all I see -
“You’re nobody, that’s all you’ll ever be -
Can’t hurt, can’t feel, it’s just for show”…
Well, now I know…
Let it go, let it go,
Don’t hold me back anymore,
Let it go, let it go,
Turn away and slam the door,
I don’t care what you have to say,
Let the storm rage on,
The rain never b

"...Ax? You all right?"
"No. I'm pissed."
"...You know, I could tell. I was more wondering what exactly you were pissed about."
"...Here. Read this."
"...Aw, Axel, you read the advice columns?"
"I was bored, it was handy. What can I say. Just read it."
"Which one?"
"The one that says 'Dear Advice Lady, our son just came out to us as gay, we're horrified, this is a good Christian family and we didn't raise him like this, we don't want to kick him out except as a last resort, how can we convince him to change his mind?'"
"...Oh, that is just wrong."
"Tell me about it."
"No wonder you're mad at the world."
"No shit. Hundred to one tha

"You said you had a gym in this place somewhere, didn't you? I was going to try to find it."
"Oh. All right, then."
"...Um...if you want to give directions, go ahead, but if you want to lead the way, you'd better do it from the front."
"What?"
"Don't 'what' me. You don't need to follow me around. I'm not two."
"Well, the TARDIS is very large and complicated -"

"Like my life depends on it?" Demyx echoed, turning the headset over a few times in his hands. "...Doctor, what exactly is it supposed to do, besides show maps and let you type to me?"
"It also lets me know exactly where in the city you are, as long as you're wearing it," the Doctor explained, gesturing at the computer screen in front of him while still making sure Demyx could see his face at all times; signing would be too much of a hassle right now. "Those three things are...really all it can do. Oh, right; it also has a built-in camera that can zoom in on what you're currently looking at, or make it show up on this screen over here, which
Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out. Just make breathing the biggest problem you have right now...
Demyx had more problems in his life than breathing, a hell of a lot more, but now wasn't the time to dwell on them. Now was the time to set them aside for a little while and meditate, take deep breaths in time with the waves on the shore, let the rhythm become such a part of him that it was the only part left. Gods above, he spent enough time dwelling on all his many worries, insecurities, and inadequacies as it was; he had to take a mental break every so often...dammit, he had to stop thinking of them now,
We didn't leave that field for the rest of the day. Flying that kite turned out to be too damn much fun for either of us to want to. The wind did die down eventually, right about the time we both realized we were hungry as hell all of a sudden, but both of those in combination couldn't get us to move on. We just stepped back into the TARDIS, made sandwiches, grabbed a blanket, and had ourselves a little picnic right there. And talked. Talked a lot. Which is more or less a given with the Doctor around, but somehow, for reasons that still escape me, I wound up doing most of the talking. Mostly about life in the Organization, especially my own c

The Katrina Mission - Prologue
"Smile at me like that again and I swear I will end you."
Demyx smiled anyway, far more innocently than a Nobody should be able to. "What? What's your problem? I told you this is going to be a fun mission!"
Axel sighed. "First, I don't think there's any such thing as a 'fun' mission. Second, the more you look forward to a shared mission, the less I should look forward to it. I got that memorized a long time ago."
"Do you ever 'remember' or 'learn' anything? You've always 'got it memorized'! You're really hot on that phrase, aren't you? The heartless romance of the century, Axel and 'Got it memorized?' -"
Axel gritted his teeth. "Demyx?"
If he ever knocks on Death's door and runs away again, Death has threatened to call the police.
The Doctor mistook him for a Jedi Knight...twice.
He is the most interesting Demyx on deviantART.
"I don't always drink beer, but when I do, it was probably Axel's idea."

Oh, yeah, I is all of dat. 'Cause I is a college GRAD-YOU-ET.
*does victory dance with the fake diploma they hand out at the commencement ceremony - the actual diploma gets mailed to you later*
That, and I have a new nephew. His name is Jamison Xavier, and he arrived just last night, while my parents and I were speeding towards my brother's house after graduation so we could babysit his big brother and sister.
Wow, I used to read all of your docs back when I was in middle school and I forgot how much I loved them! I'm in college now and I still can't accept any Demyx other than yours, it's bizarre when people don't make him deaf and Indian. Yours remains my favourite rendition of the KH universe.
Um.. Hello! I hope I'm not bothering you, but I was wondering if you might be interested in joining my Kingdom Hearts RP chatroom! It's my very first chatroom and I am trying to get the word out. ^ - ^;
